ABOUT CHRISTIAN M. HIBINSKI, ESQ.

Christian M. Hibinski, Esq. focuses his practice primarily on all aspects of government law and real estate, including related litigation.

Throughout his career, Christian has been affiliated with a number of law firms throughout New Jersey, including one of the largest firms in New Jersey and other prominent small and mid-sized firms. Christian has served, and continues to serve, as Board Attorney for various municipal boards across New Jersey. Furthermore, Christian has served as a Municipal Attorney for multiple municipalities, as well as currently serves as Special Counsel for a number of public entities. In terms of public service, Christian has worked for a prominent New Jersey member of Congress, as well as several state legislators.

Christian now uses his experience to represent both private and public sector clients seeking legal assistance in related areas. When not practicing, Christian serves as an attorney-coach for the St. Joseph High School-Metuchen Mock Trial Team and enjoys traveling, sports and spending time with his family and cat, Percy.

Having served as a municipal attorney and having been engaged in New Jersey's electoral process, Christian is well versed in all areas of local government. Christian continues to serve public entities as Special Counsel and as a Board Attorney in his current practice. When not serving public clients directly as counsel, Christian engages in a variety of other government related matters.

If you are a candidate for political office and need assistance complying with New Jersey's election laws, including challenging the results of an election in court, or even just need assistance in communicating with your local municipality, legal guidance through the political landscape will be invaluable. As an appointed member of the Election Law Bar, Christian is involved at the forefront of New Jersey election law and policy.

Christian also handles liquor license applications before Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Boards, and has been involved in securing municipal and state support and licenses for cannabis retailers throughout New Jersey.

Moreover, Christian provides guidance and litigates matters regarding the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA) and Open Public Records Act (OPRA ). Having served as Patient Advocate for a county in New Jersey, Christian represented numerous patients who had been involuntarily civilly committed to state and county hospitals for mental health reasons in their related court proceedings.

If you are or know any person or loved one who has been civilly involuntarily committed and needs representation at any stage of the involuntary civil commitment, Christian will be able to coordinate with the respective County accordingly and advocate in the patient's best interest.

Additionally, Christian is able to assist with expunging any mental health commitment from an individual's public record after their commitment has concluded.
